Admission norms

Online Application from eligible candidates are invited for admission into 3 years i.e. 6 semesters UG courses (as per the Regulations of Vidyasagar University).

  1. Online Application forms for admission will be available from the Admission website of Hijli College: http://www.hijlicollege.ac.in from 10.08.2020 to 24.08.2020 upto 11.59 PM.
  2. Subject Offered Bengali(H), English(H), Sanskrit(H), Education(H), Philosophy(H), Sociology(H), History(H), Geography(H), Physics(H), Chemistry(H), Mathematics(H), Computer Sc.(H) , BCA, B.A(Gen.) & B.Sc(Gen.)
  3. Eligibility criteria, subject combination and merit point formula for different subjects, see UG Regulations 2020-2021 in the Prospectus 2020-21.
  4. An applicant may apply to any number of subjects they want.
  5. After the payment of online admission fees students should also collect the auto-generated receipt of those fees. The receipts should have to be produced during verification process of original documents.
  6. An SMS will be sent to each applicant after the successful submission of the application form with requisite fees.
  7. Merit list will be published for all subjects. Candidates can check the seat capacity from the admission portal. Reservation rules will be maintained in the admission process and reserved category seats for different subjects has been set as per Govt. rules. Admission will be strictly  on Merit Basis for the subject English(H) only. Merit point of applicant will be calculated by taking in account 10% of Marks of best five (5) subjects and the Marks of the subject applied for.
  8. However, all candidates whose name appears in the merit list are eligible for DIRECT ADMISSION for the subject Bengali(H),Sanskrit(H), Education(H), Philosophy(H), Sociology(H), History(H), Geography(H), Physics(H), Chemistry(H), Mathematics(H), Computer Sc.(H) & BCA. Admission in  this subject will be based on First Come First Serve basis from the merit panel until, seat is fulfilled.
  9. Admission of selected applicants will be made online only on and from 02.09.2020 from 9 a.m.
  10. If a candidate cancels his/her admission, the information must be sent to the mail Id: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it on or before 04.09.2020.
  11. All admissions are provisional and will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted online.
  12. Admission process will be completed after the verification of original documents and application form generated at the time of online application.
  13. Commencement of 1st semester classes and date of verification of original documents will be announced later in the college website http://www.hijlicollege.ac.in.

  15. If name of any student is not appeared in merit list posted on 26.08.2020, please report from 26.08.2020 to 28.08.2020 to the mail or WhatsApp or contact number.
  16. During complain if name of any student is not in the merit list, Students should report the following items in the WhatsApp/mail/SMS given in the admission schedule

  17. During online form fill up students need the following items:
    1. Date of birth document like Secondary admit card (or any other age proof)
    2. Higher secondary mark sheet
    3. Mobile number (cannot be changed during whole period of UG studies)
    4. Email (cannot be changed during whole period of UG studies)
    5. Information of proper postal address with PIN code
    6. Passport photo
    7. Debit card/credit card/ (net banking facility) for form fill fees
  18. During the online admission on 02.09.2020 students need the following items:
    1. Copy of the Filled-up form
    2. Debit card/credit card/ (net banking facility) for admission fees (See fees structure in pros)
  19. During verification of the original documents after starting of the class. The students need the following list of documents given in the prospectus or elsewhere.
